Care and passion

I care about singing. I care that we sing with ease and health, with freedom and security, and with expression and passion. I care about the application of research in helpful ways for students AND for singing teachers. I care about the people I work with in the studio, whether in-person or online. Teaching singing is my passion.

I am acutely aware that the voice is the most personal of instruments, and that teaching a singer is about teaching a person, not just a voice. 

Helping artists develop the functional freedom in their voices to enable performances which are authentic and vocally healthy is of vital importance to me. Vocal health, sustainability, and longevity are crucial for performers.

I assist singers to perform within the artistic and stylistic parameters of whatever genre and style they choose to sing, and help clients to find their unique vocal sound.

Above all, I believe in teaching with kindness and integrity. I believe in supporting and encouraging artists at all stages of development. I look forward to meeting with you and helping you achieve your goals.
